Community Health and Well Being Small Grants - Rotherham
NHS Rotherham has a new grant available, the Community Health and Well Being Small Grants Fund. Up to £500.00 is available for Rotherham groups to improve health and well being related projects.
Starts up grants are also available for health-based organisations.
Exclusions:
· Individuals
· Profit making organisations
· Similar or the same activity more than once
· Regular and ongoing running costs
· Groups or projects whose aims are not linked to health and to the priority areas.

Fund for Older People - Doncaster
The Fund for Older People, from Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council and Help the Aged, offers grants up to £500 for voluntary, community or self-help groups in Doncaster that are managing or developing services and activities for older people over 55 years.
The purpose of the fund is to promote and encourage social support and independence. Various revenue and capital costs can be covered. The fund will not pay for activities promoting religious or political beliefs, holidays, parties, prizes or food or retrospective funding.

Wilkinson Hardware Stores - Helping Hand Scheme
Each year Wilkinson Hardware Stores make contributions from company profits to community initiatives within the company’s trading areas through the Helping Hand Scheme.
The scheme offers vouchers and financial support to local groups, charities and organisations within the store’s catchment area and is particularly interested in supporting education, family, sports and arts projects.

ASDA Foundation Trust
The ASDA Foundation Trust was set up in 1988 to support local good causes chosen by employees, which is funded by profits from the mid-week national lottery.
The Foundation support charities within the UK, including=2
0people and projects that require financial assistance, for example local charities, playgroups even local football teams.
The Trust will not support salaries or contributions to general funds.

CHANGEit Awards

Nominations for the CHANGEit Awards are now open. The awards are for young people between 11-18 years old that have made a positive impact on their local communities
There are 3 award categories:
· Performance Award
· Innovation Award
· Photo Award
Winners in the Performance and Innovation categories will each receive £750, runners up will receive £250. Winners of the Photo Award will recieve £250 and have their photographs exhibited at CHANGEit events.
An adult who is not a family member, for example, a youth leader or teacher, must endorse all entries.

O2 It’s Your Community Awards
The O2 It’s Your Community Awards provide grants between £100 - £1,000 to local groups and individuals for anything that can=2
0be shown to benefit the community, including cultural, environmental and rebuilding and restoring projects.
Projects must be:
· Sustainable
· Non-political and non-religious
· Based in the UK
· On public or accessible land
· Ready to go (awards are made every month, so only apply when you’re set to spend)
· Small enough that £1,000 will make all the difference
Exclusions are:
· One-off events and fundraising
· Workshops
· Professional fees
· School projects that don’t involve the wider community
You can apply at any time, the awards are independently judged and administered by The Conservation Foundation on behalf of O2.

Faithworks Awards 2009
The Faithworks Awards 2008-9 are now open for projects inspired by the Christian faith.
There are 3 awards:

Winners will receive £5,000 and public recognition. Short listed projects in each category will be awarded between £100-£500.
